FERRADURINHA BEACH: A CHILDREN´S PARADISE

Búzios holds some pearls that must be visited and the Ferradurinha beach is one of them. Our team went there and will share everything about it.

The best way to get there is by going to Canto Esquerdo de Geribá (Left Corner of Geribá) (a very well sinalized beach) and inform yourself how to get to Ferradurinha beach (you could say: Como posso chegar na Ferradurinha?) There are tons of private parking lots and, if you are lucky, some parking spots in the streets near it.

On the left side, in blue, is the Canto Esquerdo de Geribá. On the right, pinned down, is the Ferradurinha Beach

TIP 1: It´s a very small beach, so arrive early to get confortable.

Getting there, rent a table not very near the water because the tide rises a bit. It´s a beautiful place, very small waves, very cold water and an amazing view and filled with wild life (if you´re lucky, you can see some turtles swimming around).

The spot has two negative points, however: The first is that, to get there, you must walk around 300 meters (985 feet) and the second is that how it is a very small beach, sometimes, it gets very crowded.

There are local merchants who can serve you some food and drinks (like water, soda, pastéis, bolinhos de bacalhau (codfish balls)) and also rent you chairs, tables, kayaks and boards. It´s really worth a visit.
